Virgo (Kanya—Virgin or Daughter)

Virgo is the sixth sign of the zodiac relating to how we use our energy. Ultimately, our energy can be directed for us to realize perfect health in all our bodily systems—physical, mental, and spiritual. Virgo is reflected by the symbol of the virgin or daughter. It represents perfection as the purest untapped potential of our energy reservoir, as the daughter is the direct offspring from the seed of the father (Sun) and womb of the mother (Moon). The sign Virgo reflects our choice of how we will recharge or dissipate our energy resources. We can develop our nervous system to resist all that is negative that can deplete us, and/or embrace the positive, which acts to restore our energy.

Virgo’s keyword is “I analyze”. This sign’s energy is cerebral, detailed, and methodical. This sign is ruled by Mercury, the planet of self-expression—how we will use our energy. Ideas are communicated in a clear and precise way. We enjoy research and teaching. We need to relax into a more embracing acceptance of life in its totality—as a process leading to perfection. The inevitable human flaws we encounter must not upset us. Instead we can direct our energy towards our own enlightenment and finding the God within, we will be able to realize perfection in all.
