The Secret to Happiness
Thanks to all of you who responded to last month’s article about the Sun line. As we saw last month, the presence of a Sun line shows that you are a pretty happy person. It indicates your potential to extend yourself spontaneously to others without looking for praise, recognition or acknowledgment for what you do. You act from your heart. Let us see what we can do to grow a Sun line.
A few researchers looked at whether happiness can be bought, and they discovered that quite possibly it can. Taking a friend to lunch, it turns out, makes us happier than buying something for ourself. Three different studies done by a team of researchers from Harvard and the University of British Columbia all drew the same conclusion.
In their first study, the researchers asked more than 600 people about their income, their happiness levels and a breakdown of their monthly spending, including bills, gifts and donations to charity. The results? Regardless of how much income each person made, those who spent money on others reported greater happiness, but those who spent more on themselves, didn’t.
The second study measured happiness levels of employees at a firm both before and after they received a $3,000 bonus. What affected the employees’ happiness wasn’t so much the size of the bonus, but how they spent it. The employees who used more of their bonus to buy gifts for others or gave money to charity consistently reported greater happiness than those who spent money on their own needs.
In the third experiment, participants were given either $5 or $20 and told to spend it by 5 p.m. that day. Half were told to spend the money on themselves, the other half were told to spend it on other people. Once again, participants who spent their cash on others were happier than those who spent the money on themselves. Even better, there was no difference in spending $5 or $20; the amount spent on others had no impact on happiness.
“Just because money doesn’t buy happiness doesn’t mean money cannot buy happiness,” says Elizabeth Dunn, a social psychologist and assistant professor at the University of British Columbia. “People just might be using it wrong. The problem isn’t money, it’s us.” Consequently, by giving as little as $5 a day to someone in need, or simply buying lunch for a friend – may be enough to significantly increase our happiness levels.

Love is a magnet that will draw success and happiness to us. Our ability to touch the hearts of others through our genuine care and concern is the best way to find happiness. Also when our hearts are ignited by a passion and love for what we are doing, we resonate with a strong vibration capable to inspire and motivate others. The presence of the Sun line reflects that we are fully conscious of the experience of joy and abundance.
In the chapter How to be more likable, in the book Man’s Eternal Quest, Paramahansa Yogananda tells us, “There is a magnet in your heart that will attract true friends. That magnet is unselfishness, thinking of others first. Practice consideration and goodness until you are like a beautiful flower that everyone likes to see. When you are attractive in that way, you will always have true friends.”
Sometimes instead of a sun line, denoting belief and conviction, we find a cross on the Sun mount, denoting indecision and doubt. Through our hesitancy, we may lose opportunities that could have resulted in bringing success and contentment. The two lines that make up the cross reflect an obstruction. The cross shows mistrust in our intuition, which is ultimately self-defeating. Since intuition is a manifestation of spirit, we must learn to trust that aspect of ourselves in order for the cross to fade and a single Sun line remains.
“Robert” - A Missed Opportunity
Robert, a young graduate student, was dating Mary, a security guard. To him, she was the woman of his dreams. Both had the same wish to retire early and sail around the world. However, they believed this could only happen if one of them won the lottery. Despite their precarious financial situation, Mary pressed Robert to marry her. Robert was reluctant to make a commitment and kept putting her off. Frustrated by his indecision, Mary ended the relationship much to his sadness. She later married her supervisor. A year later, Robert saw on television that Mary had won the Irish sweepstakes and was sailing around the world with her new husband. Robert’s cross on his Sun mount reflects his inability to make a decision. However, challenges can sometime bring out the best in us. Robert vowed he would never let love slip through his fingers again.

Looking for Success?
Thanks to all of you who responded to last month’s article. In the past few months, we have explored the importance of the Saturn (or destiny) line in our hand, as it shows how we structure and discipline ourselves in order to connect with our purpose or life path. This month, I want to explore with you the Sun line. While the Saturn line suggests structure, focus, and endurance, the Sun line indicates the degree of success and fulfillment we can enjoy as a result of our belief, dedication and passion for what we are doing.
The Sun mount and finger in our hands indicate our potential to extend ourselves spontaneously to others without looking for praise, recognition or acknowledgment for what we do. We act from our heart. We are simply enjoying and having fun with what we are doing. This passion can act as an inspiration for others to pursue their own dreams. The Sun, related to finding our heart’s passion, results in conviction, courage, and magnetism. In Eastern texts, the Sun is referred to as atma, relating to our soul. When we work out of our Sun energy, like famous Indian yogi Paramahansa Yogananda says, “we will see that our life—every minute of it—becomes a magic existence.” We embody success and self-reliance. Explorers, inventors, and saints—all those who have done what was said to be impossible—are connecting with the soul force of their Sun energy. Consequently, they are a great source of light and inspiration.
The presence of a Sun line shows that our heart chakra is activated. We have engaged our hearts and, consequently, an aura of magnetism is created around us, attracting the appropriate circumstances and associates into our lives. Whatever our definition of success is, the presence of a Sun line shows that we have realized some form of conviction of heart that will help us realize our dream. The Sun line shows that we are confident and decisive; we know what we want.
In contrast, the absence of a Sun line shows that we are not yet tapping into the vast reservoir contained in our heart chakra. We are living on the surface of life, bombarded by external circumstances that keep us distracted from engaging our consciousness to take the time and make the effort to know our real ‘self’ and what we feel passionate for or what we can dedicate ourselves to.
Too many Sun lines indicate a diffusion of energy. We have too many goals. This can result in our feeling scattered and unfocused. Although we are enthusiastic, we may be uncertain as to what is our long-term focus in life. As a result, we may attract someone who is distracted by many interests or someone with a single Sun line who may draw us into their life, as we lack a clear focus of our own priorities. Following is the story of Eddy and Louise and their business endeavor.
Eddy and Louise: An Enterprising Relationship
Eddy had always known what he wanted: to establish a family-run empire in the clothing industry. It took him fifteen years to make his dream a reality. Steadily, from waiting tables to selling shoes, to opening a factory and selling his own line of sportswear, he became a millionaire. Eddy’s single, strong Sun line shows that he is in touch with his heart. He has no hesitation or doubt. He has faith and confidence, and loves everything he does. This enthusiasm is reflected even in his company logo printed on the labels of each garment—a soaring eagle. In everything he did, Eddy believed himself successful. He never resented others’ prosperity or thought of himself as poor. Instead, he saw others’ success as an inspiration. If they could achieve their goals, then so could he.

Louise was a little more unsure of what it was she wanted out of life. Although fortunate, as reflected by the presence of a Sun line, her indecision is also seen by the fact that she has too many Sun lines. While he waited tables, her husband was happy to put her through college, after which she found a job as a travel agent. As her husband’s dream became a reality, she accepted a position as the company’s full-time manager. Perhaps on account of Eddy’s intensity and focus, Louise was drawn into his dream and, together, they created a multimillion dollar enterprise.
As the Sun line relates to our conscious awareness, as we become more aware and intense to realize our full potential, by opening a dialogue with our heart and connecting with our soul purpose, a Sun line can develop.

The Effect of the Saturn Line Stopping at the Heart Line: How Strong is our Inspiration
Thanks to all of you who responded to last month’s article on the broken Saturn (destiny) line. This month, I wanted to share with you the case of Lucie whose Saturn line stopped at her heart line.
The Saturn line shows our ability to channel the energy of our emotions into some purposeful or creative activity. Otherwise, left unfocused, our mind can create havoc on our emotions, creating problems where there are none. Having a goal makes us less dependent on finding companionship for the wrong reason, for example to fill the empty space as a result of our own lack of direction. In contrast, feeling inspired by our sense of purpose enables us to support a loving relationship based on our own inner sense of satisfaction.
However, we must remember that even with the presence of a strong Saturn line, it is important to maintain it through constant focus, dedication, and sense of privilege as it is considered a line of good fortune. Otherwise, as seen by the following example, we can lose our sense of direction and our destiny line can fade.
Lucie was a successful and glamorous television executive. David was attracted to her exuberant and dynamic style. She was self-confident and enjoyed her work in the media immensely. When David entered her life, she found herself paying more and more attention to him than her work. Soon she became overly dependent on him and constantly demanding a show of his love and affection. Her work, which had previously given a sense of personal satisfaction, began to suffer as her attention shifted. David, who was originally attracted to her dynamism, now felt an aversion to her all-consuming need for his attention.

In Lucie’s first print, we can see a strong Saturn line and in a later print, the Saturn line has faded. Lucie left her job around the same time that David broke up the relationship. She felt very lost and despondent. It was suggested that she might rekindle her sense of purpose by finding a channel to express her intense emotions as seen by her strong heart line. Once she became focused and re-established a creative outlet, she would regain her sense of self-respect and her destiny line would reappear. Lucie almost lost everything before she realized that she could sustain a profound loving relationship without abandoning her own focus.
Fortunately our destiny isn’t carved in stone. We can take active steps to improve our lives, once we have gained better self-understanding. We can help both ourselves and others to understand the past, deal with the present, and mold the future in such a way as to bring forth the best qualities of heart, mind and soul.
When the Saturn line terminates on the heart line, this signals the fact that we must not be governed by emotional considerations alone. This termination reveals that such an attitude could lead us to eventual disappointment or despair. Our emotional drive may blur our vision and discernment so that we may make impulsive moves. The time of experiencing such disillusionment will be seen at the point generally calculated to be around the age of 56 when the Saturn line terminates on the heart line. This termination reveals a predisposition throughout our life to make decisions based on emotions.
The very fact that the Saturn line travels all the way to the heart line is a positive indication, showing a strong emotional drive to connect our energy to something worthwhile. However, there also exists an emotional vulnerability to our reliance on external circumstances that could cause us to lose our inspiration if we feel unsupported. As Paramahansa Yogananda, a great teacher, once said, "Emotion empties us, while devotion fills us". Although we are sincere, we need to cultivate discernment where to place our love and self-reliance to maintain our inspiration to realize our goals. If we are devoted to our ideal, we will not let any emotional expectation interrupt our future by causing us to react negatively to feelings of hurt, anguish or disappointment. We will remain inspired and unconditionally loving.
When the Saturn line stops at the heart line, it is important to be aware of our own attitude and emotional responses that could be responsible for our destiny line coming to an end. In Lucie’s case, her heart line is long and straight, denoting the challenging combination of an inflexible attitude along with unrealistic expectations in her interpersonal relationships. Lucie’s own approach to love showed she could easily be affected, including neglecting her career responsibilities, especially if she experienced rejection or disappointment.
The destiny line can travel past the heart line once our magnetic range becomes saturated with determination to achieve what we believe in. We will appreciate the support of others, but not be dependent on it. On the contrary, we will be a source of motivation and inspiration for others. The destiny line traveling past our heart line confirms we will have successfully transcended any emotional dependency which was previously a strong governing force behind all our motivations.

How a Broken Saturn (or Destiny) Line Can Affect Us?
I want to thank those of you who sent me their questions about last month’s article on the Saturn line. This month, I wanted to share with you the case of Dr. O (not his real name) regarding his broken Saturn line.
If you remember from last month, I mentioned that the Saturn line, often called the line of destiny, denotes the structure we have in our life as defined by our work, vocation or career path. Consequently, when there is a break in the line, it shows that we can temporarily feel at a loss, as we are unsure about what direction our life is taking. It is not necessarily that we are going to lose our job, although this can be one of its manifestations. But more likely, the expression of our major lines with regards to our career – how we feel (heart line), think (head line), and live (life line) – is in a major process of transformation.
Dr. O explained that he had been a successful surgeon until he experienced a fall when he was out skiing, landing hard on both his hands. He said that he was rushed by ambulance to the nearest hospital, and told that his career was finished as he had damaged all the tendons in both hands. His skill as a surgeon is seen by the straight, unbending head line reaching Mars positive, denoting the steel nerves, strength, cool, and calm precision that is necessary in his line of work. The abrupt change in his destiny is confirmed by his Saturn line coming to a sudden termination at his head line. The difficulty he was experiencing is also confirmed by an interference line crossing his head line at that time denoting he was experiencing an obstacle in his life. In addition, there is an island in his head line at the time the destiny stops, revealing he was not perceiving clearly or feeling at peace with himself.
A straight, unbending head line, although potentially a great asset for the kind of work he was doing, because of its intense nature, can also jeopardize the harmony of his interpersonal relationships. A straight head line denotes a tendency to be unyielding and inflexible, especially in our private life, which may result in communication problems with those close to us.
Dr. O mentioned that alternative medicine was a special point of contention between him and his wife, who was seeing an ayurvedic doctor to cure her acute back pain. Now, faced with his own situation, he said he was forced to seek alternative care after consulting with many allopathic specialists who confirmed the same prognosis that he would not regain the use of his hands. Dr. O applied the same intensity and unflinching determination of his head line to now regaining the use of his hands.
Fortunately, within a year, he was able to resume his career as a surgeon. However he said he returned to work with a new perspective, including an openness and greater respect for his colleagues’ opinions. He mentioned that his relation with his wife also improved which he attributed to his learning to be more accepting.
This growing empathy and change in perception is confirmed by the original Saturn line terminating at his head line and another Saturn line originating from his head line with a shift in its position towards the Sun or ring finger, relating to the heart chakra. Dr. O resumed his career with the same intensity as before however in the process of what he had gone through, he had become more magnetic, approachable and considerate in his work and personal life.
A break in the Saturn line often denotes a challenging time as we are confronted with the necessity of having to re-evaluate our situation. This can include financial worry and trying to rebuild our confidence which could have been temporarily shattered or interrupted, as in the case of Dr. O, who felt he had lost his career. During the time of the break, we try hard to restructure ourselves and our role in life.
Although a break in the destiny line can be a painful experience, when an overlapping destiny line is present, we have the potential to get back on track more easily without too much disruption in our career continuity. An overlapping Saturn line more gently ushers us from one life situation to another than if there was a clear break and no overlapping line. The change in his work situation at the point where the new line begins can signal many potentially rewarding opportunities along with a positive shift in perspective.
Also, the presence of a square on the Saturn line, as we see in Dr. O’s print, at the point of the break, creates continuity between the old and the new Saturn lines. It is a sign of protection showing that in the face of some challenge, he will be receptive to good advice, good friends and will grow a lot in the process. A clean break without an overlap or a square denotes we will just have to endure our transition in work without much support until we manage to restructure ourselves.
The formation of the head line indicates whether our manner of thinking is acting as our best friend or worst enemy. In Dr. O’s case his long head line denotes his passion. However as the destiny line terminates abruptly at the headline, it is a sign that his thoughts and related behaviour is tripping him up to the extent of interfering with his career path. Fortunately as the destiny shifts and then continues again from the headline, it reveals a transformation and shift in thinking that puts him back on track again. He mentioned that although he went through quite a scare, he feels the experience allowed him to become a better husband and doctor, and that he is feeling happier now.

The Saturn Line: Our Good Fortune
Fortune or good luck is mostly thought of in terms of an arbitrary force affecting our affairs. However, according to Eastern philosophy, both our good and bad luck are considered the result of our own actions, or karma, illustrated in the expression, “as we sow so shall we reap”.
In the hand, the Saturn or destiny line is often referred to as the line of good fortune or bhagya, as it reveals we have found a purpose in life. The Saturn line originates at the base of the palm, continues upwards through Rahu in the middle of the palm, ideally past the head and heart lines, and terminates near or on the mount of Saturn.
The Saturn line is a minor line relating to our conscious awareness as opposed to the major lines of heart, head and life as indicators of our subconscious. It provides a channel for the conscious expression of our more subconscious nature through our chosen purpose of life. The presence of a Saturn line indicates that we are consciously aware that we have something to live for (life line), to focus our mind on (head line) and to be inspired by (heart line), as there is a motivation and focus to achieve our life ambition. The Saturn line provides the channel through which previously untapped qualities can now be brought to a conscious level of expression by way of a profession or vocation. It indicates to what degree we are organized so that our lives work as a cohesive whole and serves as the backbone for the other lines of the hand.
In contrast to the head line, which is placed horizontally on the palm, denoting that our thinking can create obstacles in our life, the Saturn line, due to its vertical position, is considered a line of transcendence and good fortune. The Saturn line shows the potential for us to rise above any challenges related to our physical health, thoughts or emotions. Good news, as the Saturn line can change, it reflects our ability to transcend any challenges and/or to remodel our destiny.
“Lorne” - Learning to Make a Commitment
Lorne’s father brought him for a consultation, as he was in his late 20s, still living at home, without any interest to find a job, go back to school or join the family business. Adding further pressure to the situation, Vanessa, his girlfriend, was insisting that he make a commitment to her. When he left the reading, Lorne had a new appreciation for Vanessa and realized the importance of a serious and committed relationship in helping him settle down and make some roots. He decided to move in with her and together they opened their own business. Months later when he returned for a consultation, he described how good he felt to see his talents and capabilities bearing fruit.
In his Before prints, Lorne’s hand was pretty raw with only the presence of the three major lines of heart, head and life. Within a period of six months, Lorne had developed many minor lines denoting a conscious awareness of his abilities. Not only did he develop a destiny line, denoting a career, a Sun line, denoting magnetism and success, but also a union line, denoting a commitment to connect to someone.
It is considered auspicious at the point in our hand where the Saturn line begins, indicating that we have become conscious of connecting with our purpose or life path. Therefore, this line often indicates our career potentials. It denotes a serious desire to know what to do with our life, then taking the necessary steps to make it a reality. It reveals the extent to which we are anchored in our own unique purpose. Creating structure in our life, we feel more grounded to offer support to others. The Saturn line shows we have developed focus, discipline and endurance.
In addition to denoting our career path, on a subtler level, the Saturn line is ultimately about our evolutionary journey. Therefore, regardless of our choice of work, by raising our own vibration in the course of unfolding our destiny, we can create a ripple effect that may help transform the consciousness of those around us.
Esoterically speaking, the Saturn line placed in the middle of the palm denotes the potential to be centered within ourself. As our life unfolds, we have the potential to unite our opposite, yin and yang characteristics, enabling us to become whole within ourselves. In this harmonized, balanced state of completeness, we then resonate with a feeling of unity for all humanity. We feel free from distracting circumstances and are able to both think objectively and express our feelings lovingly. Furthermore, within this calm, interior environment, the ground is prepared for even greater wisdom, compassion, and joy. For, as Sri Yukteswarji, a great Eastern saint, has pointed out, the purpose of life is to realize freedom from unhappiness.
The presence of a clear, long and unobstructed destiny line in your hand shows that you might be well on your way to realizing your life purpose. However, a fragmented line or the presence of multiple destiny lines shows that you may still feel uncertain about your priorities and what you want to accomplish.
If you would like to go in depth into understanding your own hand, including your line of destiny, and feel the freedom to ask anything you have ever wanted to know about your lines and yourself, we have created a coaching program. A Palmistry Coaching Experience
Charlotte’s main issue was her inability to accept compliments. Although she would smile politely and say thank you, she did not really believe people were being sincere as she herself didn’t trust what they were saying was true. Even though with many positive planets in her natal chart, especially Jupiter considered a great benefic in its own sign of Sagittarius in the first house, she didn’t really feel good about herself at all. Despite her positive chart, the crosses on her mount of Sun revealed self-defeating thoughts resulting in a poor self-image.
When I explained to her the positive potentials as seen in her chart, she was like a little girl, hearing for the first time how good she was. Her life has been difficult and full of struggle, and she was looking for hope, inspiration and a plan to turn things around. I explained that when positive potentials are present in the astrological chart but not confirmed in the hand, it shows that although inherently we have a gift, we are for one reason or another not tapping into it and making it a reality. Worse still, in her case, not only was she not tapping into her inherent talents, but her negative thinking was making her perceive bad about herself, making her life harder than it had to be.
After several sessions, she resolved to no longer see herself as a loser but as the winner she really is. Although it took time, she began to accept people’s complements when they told her she looked good or had done well, rather than silently resisting them as she had done in the past. She realized habits she had formed had taken time to develop and would need a certain amount of therapy before she could transform them. Consequently she was committed to complete the program no matter how distressing the self-scrutiny could at times be. She fully accepted responsibility for her happiness. I explained she was in a major Ketu period which acts like a two-edged sword-it can remove both the good and bad in our life. Charlotte realizing her potential was determined to make this seven-year period work in her favor.
The two crosses on her Sun mount denote she was constantly attacked by feelings of doubt and indecision. These self-negating signs show that we feel we do not deserve a good life. As a consultant I knew Charlotte had to transform her magnetism, otherwise she would continue to attract wrong people into her life, continuing to make her more angry and unhappy. I explained that a change in attitude would be reflected in her hand, either by the crosses on the Sun mount disappearing or turning into a single Sun line or even a star.
During her coaching program with me, she was delighted when the crosses on Sun disappeared. She understood that each time someone in the past, especially a man, was giving her a compliment, she would think to herself he had some ulterior motive and wanted something from her or that he simply felt sorry for her and was trying to be nice. Now when someone says something good to her, she accepts it, feels it and is trying to believe it. Instead of negating kind remarks, she affirms them, saying to herself, “Yes it is true, I am happy or I have a lot of energy, and yes I am beautiful.” She thanked me saying, “what you have explained is so simple yet so effective. My coaching sessions have helped me to think differently and see life in a new perspective. I have become very conscious of my thinking and it is powerful.” Charlotte felt very happy and so did I!
Have You Seen the Best of You?
The features of the hand reflect the process of our karmic evolution. The mounts, pads of flesh upon which the lines travel, represent our soul or superconscious nature. In Vedic palmistry, the lines are classified as major and minor. The major lines—the heart line, the head line and the life line—reflect the subconscious. The conscious mind, represented by the minor lines, reflects awareness of our inner talents. The minor lines reflect how in touch we are with our subconscious and superconscious.
Since our external environment is constantly changing, the minor lines are often seen in flux. When we are preoccupied by the circumstances and events around us, we may lose contact with our inner self. Our preoccupation will be reflected by a busy network of minor lines obscuring the major lines and the mounts beneath them. Remaining peaceful in the midst of change is reflected in the minor lines being equal in strength to the major line, allowing the energy of the mounts to be expressed through them. The minor lines act as a barometer to show how connected we are with our deeper self while facing everyday challenges.
Deeply rooted convictions are not easy to modify. Thus change in the major lines takes a great deal of time and effort. Changes in the formation of the mounts are even more challenging, as they reflect our superconscious nature.
Major Lines Alone
When only major lines are present in our hands, it indicates that our life unfolds as a series of events that simply happen to us. We enjoy the positive ones and endure those that are difficult. We can lead a mechanical life unaware of our potential to express depth of feelings and intentions. We may have the feeling that, although we have rich resources and capabilities, we have no outlet for expression. Naturally we will feel frustrated or disconnected from our inner capabilities, as if we were sleepwalking through life.
As the conscious mind is more subject to the influence of everyday environment, it is naturally more fluid and changeable. Therefore, the minor lines are more easily altered than major lines. Changes in these lines are often visible in as little as three months.
Too Many Minor Lines
Too many minor lines are like weeds in a garden, distorting our expression. We are overwhelmed by the present situation and can be distracted by circumstances, runaway thoughts, whims and ideas. A preoccupation with the details of day-to-day living may make it impossible for us to tap into our inner resources.
We can learn to balance our major and minor lines. Concentration is the key. We need to be in the moment and conscious of our thoughts. By repeated efforts and a spiritual discipline including introspection, deep breathing techniques and meditation, we can bring harmony between the major and minor lines.

How Vedic Palmistry and Astrology Can Help You Find Your Life Purpose
People are always faced with the same two existential questions:
1. Who am I?
2. What is my purpose in life?
Strangely, since grade school, we ponder the second question and are encouraged to choose our path in life as soon as possible. However, if we are not able to answer the first question, it might be quite difficult to answer the second one. It is not surprising, then, to witness such high rates of school dropouts or people who have worked in the same company for years going through depressions or burnouts. Why is this so? To a great extent, it is because we do not become builders just by building houses. First, we must have the seed of a builder deep inside of us that just needs to grow. If we put rabbit’s ears on a cat and we feed it carrots, the cat will never become a rabbit. This seems quite obvious and yet, how can we truly choose our life purpose if, like the “dressed up” cat, we essentially do not know who we are? To cite another analogy, can we make an omelet without eggs? No matter how much will power we have, we do need eggs in order to make one.
If we decide to cook an omelet, the first thing to do is to make sure we have the ingredients. If we are missing eggs, and it’s impossible to get any, of course we would not let ourselves starve. We would cook a meal with whatever else we have in the refrigerator. The following day, if we still feel like having an omelet, we will make the necessary arrangements. We will go shopping for eggs in order to satisfy our craving. This analogy can be applied to our own life purpose. Unfortunately, there are an awful lot of people who are trying to make omelets without eggs and who find that, at the end of the day, omelets are not that tasty…
Instead of asking a child, “what do you want to do in life?”, maybe we should ask the child what he wants to become. To do is easy; to be, however, is a bit more demanding.
So where does palmistry fit in all this? Simple. Through palmistry, we can help you determine what you have in your own “refrigerator” so that you can decide what you are going to cook or to make sure that you have the necessary ingredients to cook that meal.
No one can tell you what you want to become. However, if you are aware of your fundamental makeup, your life purpose can be made clear. Discovering what you want to do with your life is like trying to put together a puzzle, yet by having all the pieces, you can make appropriate life decisions. If you are told, “you have a long tail, big eyes, pointy teeth, a shiny fur and you go Meow, do you need to be told what you are? No, you can figure it out on your own.
That is exactly what Vedic palmistry and astrology can do for you. We will share with you the elements of your makeup: your strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats. Then, it will be up to you to decide what you want to do with this information, and what you still need to do in order to become what you have decided to be - and how to do it. The best part is that you will know exactly, who you are today. You will have a complete “grocery list”.
Now , some may say, “I don’t need someone to tell me those things. I have lots of friends and even without them, I already know who I am…”
Really? Too often we lack the necessary perceptivity and discernment to be sure of the reliability of our observations, especially when they pertain to us. It is like trying to read a book with our nose glued to a page. We can distinguish a few words, even a few sentences, but the entire meaning of the book eludes us and, after a while, we just give up. Our ability to perceive reality is often skewed by our wrong perception of the world, including how we perceive ourselves.
You think that your perception is clear and flawless? Try this little test. Watch the video below and come back for the rest of the article.
Still convinced that your perception of the world is clear? If so, go ahead with your purpose and see it through.
If you are not entirely convinced, give palmistry a try. It can help you to clarify your perception by giving you a clearer picture of yourself. As a result, you will be able to make better-informed decisions as to what you want to become; it will be easier and well defined as to what you need to do to achieve this goal.
Are You Compatible? Ask not what your loved ones can do for you, ask what you can do for your loved ones
The heart line serves as an indicator of our loving disposition and emotional make-up; as well, it provides information concerning the physical condition of the heart organ itself. From a spiritual standpoint, the heart line bears an especially close relationship to the soul, reflecting our capacity to be generous and forgiving. Chronological life events also register on this major line—most particularly events relating to interpersonal relationships and emotional complexities.
The heart line plays a tremendous role in showing us who we are likely to attract, and in revealing our capacity to feel deeply for them as well as our own approach to love in all its aspects. By consciously applying ourselves to deeply feeling for our loved ones, we can alter our personal magnetism and, consequently, improve the interpersonal relationships in our lives.
A comparative analysis of the heart line in both our hands reveals the evolutionary process unfolding in our emotional makeup. Ideally, the heart line should be making progress from the non-dominant hand to the dominant hand. The non-dominant hand reflects our subconscious and the deep habits we have already created for ourselves, while the dominant hand denotes our conscious and the resolutions we would like to develop. Consequently, a long heart line in the dominant hand shows we want to be generous, open and giving. However, due to a shorter heart line in the non-dominant hand, when challenges arise, we can fall back into more deeply-rooted behavior patterns related to our subconscious that are not as forgiving.
A long heart line in both hands shows we are born with a generous, affectionate, and self-sacrificing nature. Moreover, it indicates that these qualities are deeply rooted in both our conscious and subconscious. It is likely, therefore, that we will attract people who are inspired by our generosity and would like to be like us, but due to their shorter heart line, they have not yet learned to demonstrate this charitable quality. Thus, there is a caution that due to our high standards, we may expect the same giving behavior from our friends and companions and be disappointed, when they react halfheartedly. Others may simply doubt our sincerity, believing our actions are “too good to be true”. Consequently, we can feel discouraged and misunderstood. In that case, we need to develop a feeling of unconditional love. Others will eventually come to appreciate our goodness and be inspired to follow our example.
The shorter heart line indicates that we are more guarded when it comes to expressing our feelings. We may feel more comfortable dealing with facts than emotions. Although we can be passionate, we can also be cool and aloof if we feel obliged to put the interests of another ahead of our own. This attitude can, at times, jeopardize the harmony of our intimate relationships. If we want to develop meaningful and satisfying relationships, we must develop more consideration for others. We must not approach love with a conditional and self-oriented attitude. We must be more spontaneously open and expressive, perceiving what we can do for our partner rather than being disappointed in what they didn’t do for us.

How Do We Use Palmistry to Find Love?
Each one of us longs for deep and meaningful relationships. In a lifetime, we have numerous opportunities to experience a union of souls: between business associates, friends, a parent and child, a husband and wife, a teacher and student, a guru and disciple. We come together—consciously or subconsciously—to help each other fulfill a purpose. We have a choice. Either we can enter into a relationship fully aware of the impact the union is likely to have on us, or we can enter into one oblivious to what we may be about to set in motion.
Palmistry is the study of the lines and signs of the hands. Throughout our lifetime, our bodies register change. For example, the lines on our face that we acquire with age reflect experience and, we hope, wisdom. Lines and signs on our hands, present at birth, grow as we evolve, signifying the accumulated experience of our lives.
Centuries ago, the sages of India established a system of knowledge stemming from the Vedas, the earliest sacred Hindu writings. They studied the hands as a means to unveil and understand the self and relationships with others. They saw that the unique patterns of lines and signs in the hand come into being as a direct result of the way we think. Just as a pebble thrown into the water creates ripples, so our thoughts create similar effects.
Our hands offer us an objective view of who we really are. They show to what extent our thoughts and feelings influence our happiness and the harmony of those around us. As we exercise our will in choosing positive patterns of thinking to replace any negative ones, we see our lines begin to change, reflecting a shift in our consciousness. As Shakespeare observed, we are masters of our own fate, that “the fault...is not in our stars, but in ourselves.”
The process of forming a bond with another person is analogous to going for a drive in the country. We can venture forth with no goal in mind, and take whatever country lanes or woodland roads seem attractive. We may have the adventure of a lifetime or we may become completely lost. However, with a map, we can still choose the interesting fork in the road; but we will always know where we are and where we are going. Palmistry is the roadmap we consult on our journey through life. The study of the features of the hand with its lines and signs allows us to see where we are —physically, emotionally, intellectually and spiritually. We can also see the direction we are likely to take—unless we choose otherwise. The map of the hand shows us possible obstacles and impediments to our progress, which we can either avoid or transform.
For example Paul, a happy, rambunctious nine-year old boy, lived a carefree life. This is reflected by a well-defined, unbroken line of head in the handprint taken at that time. During his teenage years, he could not reconcile the fact that his parents had decided to divorce. The mental breakdown that he suffered is reflected by the broken head line in the print taken when he was 16 years old. This break reflected his inability to comprehend the dissolution of his family. However, Paul’s strong heart line indicated he had the inner resources to go through this traumatic experience. The handprint taken several years later showed the break in the head line beginning to repair.

Paul’s long heart line signifies his ability to feel deeply. He had a choice. He could have allowed negative feelings to overwhelm him and make him bitter, first toward his parents, then in his own dealings with others. Instead, he overcame his pain and learned to recognize that human relationships are complex; he became forgiving and compassionate. In his adult life, he was able to develop healthy bonds with others. He became a personal trainer and enjoyed coaching others to develop their strengths. In time he established a family of his own. By recognizing human frailty and being able to accept it with understanding brought about the transformation in Paul that is reflected in his changing head line. Increasing self-awareness leads toward greater personal magnetism and happiness.
