Ganshyam_BirlaGhanshyam Singh Birla is a renowned Vedic palmist and astrologer, based in Canada. For over 40 years, Ghanshyam has devoted himself to helping people find greater satisfaction in life.

He has been at the forefront in bringing palmistry awareness to the West since 1972 when he opened The Palmistry Center. Background

During his childhood, Ghanshyam was instructed by his paternal grandfather in the Vedic arts and sciences. One of Ghanshyam’s earliest memories was standing alongside his grandfather, distributing ayurvedic herbs to the villagers who had sought out his grandfather’s advice and healing. A family astrologer confirmed Ghanshyam would one day revolutionize the subject of palmistry.

Educational Experience

Ghanshyam was placed in an orthodox Gurukul academy where he spent long hours were reciting mantras, studying scriptures, and practicing meditation. While studying the ancient Vedic scriptures, Ghanshyam found many references to palmistry and astrology. The Gurukul experience served to validate his love for these ancient sciences. Nevertheless, at 20, in order to respect his father's wishes, he completed his B.A. in philosophy, and began working towards his M.A. in Indian Literature.

Establishing the First Center

In 1968, Ghanshyam established his first Vedic Center in Delhi, where people from all walks of life came to see him. The work he did at this Center became the basis for his palmistry research. That same year, Ghanshyam received an honorary doctoral degree from the All India Society and in 1970, Ghanshyam was selected from a pool of 500 applicants to come to Montreal and practice palmistry.
