Welcome to the Birla College of Vedic Palmistry! You are about to embark on an exciting journey of self-discovery that will profoundly enrich your life.

Decades of experience have taught me that palmistry can be used to examine the innermost corners of the human psyche. Consultations with tens of thousands of clients have confirmed that all of our hopes and dreams, phobias and fears, desires and disease, attitudes and addictions are registered in the lines of our hands. More importantly, I have discovered that the root causes for any of these disruptions and distresses—imbalances in our personal energy—can also be found in our palms.

For me, this discovery reinforced palmistry’s potential as a precision tool to bring about change and healing as well as a potent preventive measure to avoid mental, emotional and physical illness. And because the lines of our hands change as our actions and attitudes change, palmistry acts as an extraordinary barometer of personal growth—a tried and true route to creating or restoring balance in our lives.

I left my native India and moved to Canada to introduce this life-changing form of palmistry to the West. In 1975 I founded the Birla School in Montreal, motivated by the unshakable belief that by understanding what the lines in our hands reveal about our nature and acting upon that enormous storehouse of self-knowledge, palmistry can and will improve our lives immeasurably.

Like the Earth we live on, each of us possesses a magnetic force exuding tremendous energy that impacts everything around us and everything we do. Our hands reveal when and where this energy, this magnetism, is out of balance and creating disharmony in our lives.

When a client comes to the Birla Center with a serious problem—perhaps a contentious divorce, a health issue, or a combative work relationship—we use palmistry to identify the underlying cause of the imbalance. Once an imbalance is identified, we suggest steps the client can take to restore balance and repair the faulty magnetism—a healthy magnetism will create better circumstances and draw positive people into their lives.

But palmistry is not a magic wand that makes problems disappear—ultimately it is up to each of us to bring these positive changes about by learning more about ourselves. At the Birla School, our approach to palmistry reflects this simple truth: our future is in our own hands.

Whether your intention is to gain a greater understanding about yourself, start a career as a palmist, or you simply want to incorporate aspects of palmistry into your daily life or profession, this course of study could be the most rewarding journey of your life. The program is a culmination of my 45 years of research, counseling and teaching—it is my life’s work, and I am delighted that you have expressed an interest in learning the ancient science of Vedic Palmistry.

In the following pages, you will find a description of the courses which comprise our certification. All case histories found in the textbooks and teaching materials have been carefully selected from the thousands of handprints in our extensive archives.

Throughout the programs, students will be introduced to many self-help methods, such as meditation, mantra and visualization. These self-help methods can help students on an individual level to achieve greater harmony as well as professionally in time being able to suggest remedial measures to their own clients.

On behalf of the School, I extend my most cordial welcome. My greatest desire is for you to succeed and even surpass your own expectations, mastering the ancient art of Hast Jyotish and becoming a successful Vedic palmist.

Sincerely,

Ghanshyam Singh Birla
